Thousands Expected at Oakland U. on Saturday, April 19th

Rochester, MI (February 9, 2008) Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center & Oakland University are pleased to announce that the third annual Earth Day Expo will held at the Oakland Center on Saturday April 19th from 11am-6pm. The expo is open to the public at no charge. It will provide a wide variety of fun and informative activities including:

 ·         exhibits of earth-friendly, healthy products and services

·         presentations by leading educators and policymakers

·         alternative fuel, vehicles, mass transit, and other transportation displays

·         award-winning films and videos

·         free product samples, handouts, and door prizes

·         outdoor vehicle, food, farm and renewable energy equipment displays

·         solar, wind, geothermal, and other renewable energy displays

·         kid's corner with natural arts & crafts, and other fun hands-on activities

·         natural and delicious food to sample and purchase

·         earth-friendly music & entertainment in a relaxed Cafe' setting

·         free services including massages and yoga classes

 

The Earth Day Expo is the place to celebrate Earth Day, to discover healthy alternatives for earth-friendly living, and to make the connection between healthy products, people and planet. The expo will cover a wide range of topics, including:

 

·         complementary medicine & wellness

.         renewable energy - solar, wind, geothermal

·         holistic fitness, exercise & nutrition

·         natural personal care and beauty

Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center is a 501(c)(3) organization. It is a designated Michigan Energy Demonstration Center and model of eco-friendly design and renewable energy applications, located in northern Oakland County.
